Whether it's an aging out or taking a step back, transitions are inevitable. Remodeling Mastery host and industry advisor Mark Richardson says that it's best to guide the transition rather than allowing it to guide you.

In order to do so, it's important to start early and create a clear vision. In this episode, Richardson offers up 10 considerations to help define what type of transition will work best for you and your business.

Richardson says to start by asking how you want to feel in five to 10 years?

"How you want to feel might be free," says Richardson. "How you want to feel might be related to your health. How you want to feel might be related to a financial freedom. How you want to feel may be devoting your time and energy to causes other than your clients and projects."
