Understanding how the design will affect the efficiency of a house is critical to success, says builder and remodeler Matt Risinger.
Risinger shares his experience building a net zero home for Forge Craft Architecture’s founder, Scott Ginder, and his family.
“The architect on this project did everything right from a design perspective. He didn’t make the house too big – it’s right at 2,000 square feet of conditioned space,” Risinger writes, adding that the small space gives room or healthy and resource-efficient materials.
