For clients with a little more disposable income, Tru Cabinetry products are great: If the right product comes along, they’re able to go for it and get a product that feels custom-made, without the price tag of custom work.
We started carrying Tru last summer, and we have three kitchen remodels going now that feature their cabinets. Through working with our sales rep on these projects, it’s become clear that their customer service is just as high quality as their cabinetry.
Our particular rep is based in St. Louis, and he’s come to see us five or six times since we began using Tru. On these recent orders, I pulled the materials list together and sent it to him, and we hopped on a phone call to make any modifications he knew would get our order through the system and to our jobsites quicker. His troubleshooting upfront has saved me grief on the back end.

Even their standard cabinet lines have more custom features than our semi-custom cabinets, and it’s a huge help to our clients that they can do custom lengths and widths, in varying increments—while still sitting at a price point that is less than what custom cabinets would cost. (And custom measurements tend to make for fewer modifications on the jobsite, saving us time and money in labor, too.)
The lead time is relatively short—four to six weeks, sometimes less. Clients want what they want, and they want it now. Tru Cabinetry gives us the chance to provide it.
