Bosch Challenges Craftsmen and Women to "Tool Belt Tetris"

340 contestants will ultimately take home a BLAZE laser measuring kit

Bosch Power Tools is challenging craftsmen and women in both the U.S. and Canada to a game of “Tool Belt Tetris.” Upon taking up the challenge, contestants will be entered for a chance to win the “ultimate BLAZE kit,” which includes a BLAZE GLM 50 C 165 Ft. Connected Laser Measure (pictured right), a “Do You BLAZE?” Grizzly Mug, and a set of carpenter pencils.

The idea for “Tool Belt Tetris” comes from Zurich, Switzerland, where the “Tetris Challenge” first went viral after local first responders posted pictures of themselves and their equipment neatly arranged just outside their patrol vehicles—sort of Tetris-like. Bosch has the same idea but is asking pros in the trades to instead lay bare the contents of their tool belts (and to post pictures and/or videos of it to Instagram, tagging Bosch). In a statement, Isabelle Bizub, measuring tools marketing manager for Bosch, explained that the contest is a way to not only to get people to start considering carrying laser measures in their belts, but to drive a conversation about what are and aren’t toolbelt essentials. “We hope our Tool Belt Tetris contest drives conversation about jobsite must-haves and inspires men and women in the trades to include laser measures among their go-to tools.”

Contestants can enter by:

1.    Posting a photo or video to Instagram that displays the contents of their tool belts or bags in an organized or arranged “Tetris-like” format.

2.    U.S. residents must tag @BoschToolsNA and include the hashtag, #ToolBeltTetrisContest.

3.    Canada residents must tag @BoschToolsCanada and include the hashtag, #ToolBeltTetrisContestCA.

The contest will take place from Dec. 11-18. For complete U.S. rules and information, visit here. For Canada rules, visit here.
