Best Practice: Dorfman has always been somewhat of a visionary and considers technology one of his specialties. He recently introduced cutting-edge visualization software to Marrokal that reduces meeting times and improves client conversion. The program, called Lumion, creates realistic 3-D fly-through images, illustrating texture, movement, and lighting. Dorfman started using it on his own, and after members of his team saw the genius of the technology, he taught them how to use it as well. Lumion allows Dorfman to make changes during client meetings, eliminating time-consuming alterations and expediting approvals, which, he says, is extremely important for Millennial homeowners who “want it now” in real time and with interactive capabilities. The software greatly condenses the design and drafting process so Dorfman can spend more time landing new clients. In fact, because of the technology, he has also begun to blossom as a salesman, targeting $3 million in sales during 2017.
