Housing: Existing Home Sales Decline in January

The National association of Realtors reports that existing-home sales declined in January to their lowest rate in nine months. 
 
The Northeast and West saw the largest declines. Nationally, however, the pace was still higher than a year ago for the fourth straight month. According to the NAR, the decline can be attributed to available inventory remaining subdued.
