Green building blogger Matt Risinger talks about the first house he has built that is completely free of HVAC ductwork.
The 1,700-square-foot residence uses a Mitsubishi system with three-heads that can be controlled separately, and a compressor that can keep up with demand when all three heads are heating or cooling at the same time. "The house is incredibly efficient … it’s really a perfect house to go ductless," says Risinger, who notes that the system has "worked perfectly" since he completed construction 2 years ago.
