One of the biggest roadblocks to success is the fear of failure.
So says Dr. Travis Bradberry, co-founder of TalentSmart, a provider of tests and training in emotional intelligence. "The actions you take in the face of failure are critical to your ability to recover from it," Bradberry writes, "and they have huge implications for how others view you and your mistakes."
Bradberry outlines five actions that can turn failure into success. They include: 1) reveal your mistake before others do; 2) explain the failure without making excuses; 3) suggest ways to fix things; 4) take steps to avoid failing in the same way in the future; and 5) keep trying despite your failure.
