Facebook wants to help you solve your labor shortage. The social media platform is testing out a new feature designed to aid businesses in finding candidates. Users can already go to a company’s page and view job openings, but the new initiative will let employers push that information onto their news feed so that people can read, like, and share the posting. Also new is an “Apply Now” button that starts the application process.
With more than 50 million small-business pages and an active user base of almost 2 billion, Facebook has enormous reach. The platform’s numbers dwarf LinkedIn, and this latest move is seen by many as an effort to challenge LinkedIn’s dominance in the recruitment space.
