This dark and segmented 1950s ranch home was given new life with a raised roof and reconfigured space. Much of the original lumber was salvaged and repurposed as ceiling cladding and accents. This added warmth and a striking contrast to the subtle white walls. Removing interior walls opened up the kitchen, increasing functionality for entertaining
guests in the kitchen and adjacent dining area while also amplifying the space’s natural light. The double-sided stone fireplace adds a rustic hint and provides a focus to the core of the home, while clerestory windows open the kitchen and adjacent passageways to ample natural light. The owners requested commercial-grade appliances and fixtures to allow for full use of their culinary skills.
