Biggest Professional Challenge: When people call, they expect a guy in his 50s or 60s. I’ve been kicked off jobsites before I’ve had any sort of chance to prove myself, because I don’t look old enough. It’s challenged me to hold myself to a higher level and exude professionalism in every aspect of how I do business, from what’s on the radio when a client’s in the car, to how I dress, to how I communicate. 

By 40: I want to expand our company to 20 people, and I want to stay working in the field. It’s scary, because we don’t want to sacrifice quality to take on more volume, so growing slow is important to us. I take this business very personally.
