An AI-Powered Collaboration Platform for Construction

Many remodelers continue to play around with artificial intelligence, still not finding where it can best serve the business. In that environment, Digs sits pretty—the AI-enabled platform thinks it’s found that sweet spot for construction and AI.

Digs says it provides the tools remodelers (and builders, and even homeowners) need to guide clients through a project. Those tools serve the needs for planning and design collaboration, communication and punch list management, digital hand-offs, and warranties.

The product houses a project’s floor plans and MEP positions and allows users to adjust plans or revisit when needed. Floor plans can be viewed in 2D or 3D, with all measurements, plans, and documents held in one area. Users can annotate to communicate with team members and clients, for example, if someone mistakenly installed an outlet incorrectly and they’ll be out the next day to fix it. Remodelers can offer selections options to the homeowner, who can easily click and select their choices, viewing them virtually in their space.

What Digs succeeds in is its promise of simple-to-use tools. Visually, the interactive elements are uncomplicated and easy to navigate, and though it’s fairly robust, it remains streamlined. Digs even claims that its “intuitive platform” does not require training. Digs says its product can be used from pre-construction through warranty. The software will run a company $59 per person, or try it for the first month free.
