The kitchen is the heart of the home and so KHB Construction’s Co-founder, Ryan Kelly, took the design seriously.
“It’s not a large house,” he says. “The big primary goal was to keep function with the [work] triangle…and make sure we had enough space.”
With the help of Wellborn Cabinets, Kelly created an intentional and welcoming design with enough room between the primary elements—counter, sink, dishwasher, range, and refrigerator—to avoid “major collisions.”
Another goal was to break up the space to create visual interest with varying heights. To that end, the kitchen features a floor-to-ceiling pantry between the wet bar and nearby counter. Floating wood shelves and a soothing color palette complete the look.
“We had great input from Wellborn when putting this kitchen together,” Kelly says. “We are so excited to see this come to life.”
