Meet the Model ReModel Contractor

When it comes to growth and risk-taking, Ryan Kelly is a self-described “extremist.” After co-founding KHB Construction in 2020, he went on to acquire a flooring company, and a tile and stone company…all on top of explosive organic growth. 

At the heart of his vision is a desire to “curate leaders.” KHB has a powerful marketing engine, in-depth accounting, strong sales training, and robust systems and processes, Kelly says.

“We want to have the best employee experience along with our client experience,” he says. 

While achieving excellence is crucial to all of KHB’s work, this Model ReModel project strikes especially close to home: Literally. Kelly and his wife Lael Kelly purchased an “extremely dilapidated” 1930s farmhouse on 18 acres in central California with the goal of creating a spacious environment for their three boys. The 1200 sf home desperately needs a remodel. 

“We're going for a French country look,” Lael says. “We're going to do a lot of neutral tones, some greens, maybe throw some champagne in there. I'm really excited the finished product.”
