HP SitePrint

Last year, we started working with Trimble and HP SitePrint to do a full site print of a house.

It’s essentially a regular printer that’s on wheels and rolls around the jobsite printing out the data from your plan onto the slab. We can print where the walls are located, where electrical is placed, and know everything from the recess cans to cabinetry. We can print everything precisely, and it’s also adjusted for field conditions.

The plumbers and electricians can easily rough in; rough in with the trades is one of the key places where things can be installed in the wrong place, creating issues and unforeseen costs. And previously, we sent a site supervisor to go out for several days and lay out all the systems. There’s human error potential there.

It takes a while to get the plan data to match site conditions, but it give us a very precise layout.
