Growing up, Golbad wanted to be a civil engineer and never envisioned himself on a jobsite. But that changed during college when he interned at Builderwell. “Something about seeing things built from the ground up kind of tickled my fancy,” he says. “I just love the process.” Golbad was promoted to Construction Project Coordinator just three months after being hired.
Challenge: One of Golbad’s most significant challenges was balancing multiple responsibilities while continuing his education. As part of a small team, he was not only responsible for managing construction projects but also took on the role of marketing manager, ensuring the company’s brand presence was strong and consistent. At the same time, he was pursuing his bachelor’s degree, earning his general contracting license, and obtaining his drone license.
Innovations: Golbad streamlined many of the systems and processes at Builderwell, both in production and marketing. This includes smaller tweaks like improving the way Matterport scans are scheduled with a homeowner, and larger projects such as restructuring the website to enhance user experience.
Ten-Year Vision: Golbad’s long-term dream is to start a contracting business. “It’s a lot of risk,” he says. “But it’s more rewarding afterward knowing that you did everything yourself.”
