Sr Project Manager

Advice for others: I’m proud to have been part of a great company for 17 years and working my way up the ladder. My advice for a project manager is to remember that being organized is the number one thing. I see project managers on their heels, and I say, “Okay, how how can I help them to be more proactive instead of reactive?” Here, the project managers and production manager meet once a week for two hours. We go through every job, discuss issues, and come up with solutions. Our three biggest metrics are schedules, customer satisfaction, and budgets. We dive into those three metrics.
Then, once a job is closed out, we have a project autopsy. We’ll review the whole project and talk about what well, what didn’t go well, and what we can we do differently.
