  On communication:   Many of my clients live out of town, and most are too far to drive up for something like an electrical walk-through or a last-minute meeting. I use technology to my advantage with this, particularly FaceTime. Those clients can’t make a multi-hour drive, but they can usually take an hour out of their day to FaceTime while we complete that walk-through or run through a checklist of items to be addressed. Having that conversation face-to-face, even if it’s via screen, is more personal than talking on a phone, and they get to feel like they’re on the jobsite with me and give their input, even from miles away.
