Quality window products are key to becoming the local contractor of choice
When it comes to building in tough climates, Miguel Gutierrez of GVS Design & Build is marking a name for himself by creating “the dramatic effect of before and after” with Andersen® 100 Series products.
“There was a big boom in the 90s which led to a lot of [flimsy] vinyl, bottom-of-the-barrel material,” being used, he says. “Typically, when we remove windows, they fall apart in our hands… I’ve walked into homes and asked myself, ‘How do people live under these conditions?’”
For Gutierrez, 100 series products are helping him make a real difference in his Las Vegas community. They’re made with Fibrex® material, which shares the same benefits as vinyl but is two times stronger.
“[It’s] an amazing product that performs well in this climate because you will not get the fade,’” he says. “You have that whole body-through-color from the factory [for] that sleek, modern look… We use it in our entry-level homes. We use the same product in luxury homes.”
“[Our clients] did not understand the impact of the change until they lived it firsthand,” he says. “When you do a good job for one customer, they tell their friends and their neighbors and next thing you know, you become the contractor of choice in your area.” It’s a legacy of quality Gutierrez knows well.
“I remember changing windows with my dad, I was about five or six, and they were Andersen windows,” he says. “The product speaks for itself… That’s why Andersen has customers for life.”
