Energy consultant Carl Seville dives into the first official edition of the WELL Building Standard, a new green building standard that claims to focus on the health and well being of building occupants.
In this mixed review, Seville notes there is plenty to like in the standard (much of which is a rehash of long-established best practices), but also some significant shortcomings. While admitting that the standard aims high, he is doubtful whether it will gain much traction in an already crowded certification marketplace.
