Remodelers may occasionally be asked about soundproofing a room or two in a home. In this video from Matt Risinger, he shares a few tips about knocking down sound transfer between walls. He explains how an outlet or switch in a home may cause a penetration in the acoustic barrier created by the wall they are installed in. According to Risinger, this is because of the holes in the outlets or switches, which he recommends sealing up by installing acoustic sound pads.
