The new AT200 LS SpaLet from DXV is an electronic bidet toilet with luxury functionality. This smart toilet offers hands-free flushing, a heated seat, and automated lid opening and closing. It also has a two-nozzle water-spray system, integrated air dryer, and the Air Shield deodorizer with a replaceable charcoal filter and Room Refresh, which uses Plasmacluster ion technology similar to a home air purifier to clean the air in the room after use.
2. Duravit
The Brioso Collection (shown), from Duravit and designer Christian Werner, features slender legs and geometric handles, and offers one or two drawers. The tall and semi-tall cabinets (in 16.5- to 20.5-inch widths) provide even more storage space; Brioso’s 15 finishes come in matte or lacquers. And the new Square Collection, which comes from a collaboration with design partner Kurt Merki Jr., offers bathroom furniture with a touch of industrial aesthetic.
3. Icera
Icera’s redesigned Palermo II 1.0 GPF toilet uses just one gallon of water per flush, and is designated an ultra high-efficiency toilet (UHET). Its sleek new exterior look complements the smart plumbing technology inside. The Palermo is ADA-compliant, and its EcoQUATTRO flushing system provides high-performance, gravity-assisted flushes. The firm also announces its new Malibu II back-outlet toilet with a slim design, ideal for smaller spaces. Both have limited lifetime warranties.
4. TOTO
TOTO added to its collection of Aquia high-efficiency, dual-flush toilets. The new Aquia IV One- and Two-Piece Ultra High-Efficiency Dual-Flush Toilets (UHET) boast numerous features. There’s an auto-open/close lid, electrolyzed water to keep the bowl clean without harsh chemicals, and an in-bowl deodorizer. DynaMax Tornado Flush Technology cleans bowl and rim with 360 degrees of cyclonic rinsing action, and the CeFiONtect nanotechnology glaze keeps the bowl cleaner, longer.
5. Kohler
Kohler released its ContinuousClean technology, a system housed directly in the toilet tank that automatically dispenses a consistent amount of toilet bowl cleaner with each flush. A three-step process keeps it simple: Insert two puck-style toilet bowl cleaning tablets, set the dial to the desired dispensing level, and monitor the blue LED indicator light on the back of the tank to ensure the system is working. (The light will turn red when it’s time for new tablets.) The system houses the tablets in a reservoir separate from other toilet components to ensure that toilet performance is not affected. It operates on two AAA batteries, so no access to outlets is necessary.
6. Strasser Woodenworks
Strasser Woodenworks unveiled the Lapis Night finish for its wooden bathroom vanities. Noting that it’s comparable to the blue that Van Gogh used in his masterpiece “Starry Night,” the company says the dramatic, versatile color adds unique personality to the bath and pairs well with accents of yellow, peach, and pumpkin. Complementary colors include Navajo White, latte, and light rose gold—and it works well with brushed nickel or satin champagne bronze knobs and pulls.
7. Sustainable Solutions International
The No Clog Point 8 Toilet includes breakthrough flush technology that uses a volume of only 0.8 gallons (3 liters) per flush, according to its maker, Sustainable Solutions International. This ADA-compliant unit features an easy height for users, and includes a trapway that is double the industry standard size. As a result, it reduces clogging and limits the need for service calls. SSi’s simple, yet effective, technology also saves on maintenance costs.
