If you’ve ever attended the NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS), then you know it is the most important event of the year for the residential construction industry. IBS has amazing new products, dynamic educational programs, and the best networking opportunities anywhere.

IBS is the largest annual conference for the residential construction industry in the world. Let me repeat that: Largest in the world. It is the best place to see the latest products, learn about best practices in construction and business management, and rub elbows with other dedicated professionals. And when we meet in Las Vegas, Feb. 25-27, 2025, it promises to be one of the largest shows in years.

For the 12th year, the Builders’ Show will be co-located with the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) as part of Design and Construction Week (DCW). The events will feature more than 2,300 exhibitors across more than 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space.

Every time I go to IBS, and I’ve been attending the show for years, I head home with a bunch of exciting new ideas that I implement as fast as I can.

The 2025 IBS exhibit halls will again be divided into six segments of product category groupings and the Outdoor Exhibits. This will make it easier for you to navigate the show and save time. The segments are: Building Materials; Interior Finishings & Home Living; Business Management & Professional Services; Construction Tools, Systems, Equipment, & Safety; Outdoor Living, Leisure, & Modular Structures; and Global Products. Be sure to also spend time in the IBS Outdoor Exhibits featuring Pro Builder’s Show Village, a great place to meet fellow remodelers. Stop by just after show hours and you’re likely to run into Pro Remodeler Editorial Director Erika Mosse.

When not exploring the show floor, you can soak up knowledge at one of 120 educational sessions taught by top industry experts. There are sessions that fit every learning style.

You can also see live demonstrations of construction techniques on the exhibition floor at the Construction Performance Zone and the Craft Techniques Zone.

Okay, I’ve mentioned the exhibits and IBS Education, and they’re great, but the best part of IBS might be the opportunity to talk with dedicated professionals from around the country.

One of the most amazing spaces for networking is Remodeling Central. Remodeling Central is a dedicated space where like-minded professionals can network and learn about the latest trends and best practices in remodeling. The central offers numerous learning programs where industry experts offer insightful perspectives about all facets of the remodeling industry.

Enhance your IBS experience by learning and networking with several of the top artisans, suppliers, and industry consultants in the Remodeling Central. Remodeling Central is a great place, and there are other centrals, including 55+ Housing, Custom Building, Design, Multifamily, and Sales. And there are lots of other networking opportunities, including the DCW Opening Ceremonies on Tuesday morning, and then you can keep the fun going with awesome parties every night, including the Official IBS House Party, the IBS Young Pro Party, and the IBS Closing Concert.

Come to IBS to make new friends or have a beer with old ones. Walk the floor until your feet get tired. Learn from experts in the many education sessions. The International Builders’ Show is a great place to gather ideas that will inspire you for a year or maybe a lifetime. Learn more and register.

I hope to see you there.
