Polygood surfaces by The Good Plastic Company uses 100% recycled and recyclable plastic to create a versatile material used in kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, facades, interior cladding, and furniture.

The company selects a single type of plastic, polystyrene, to manufacture its panels from, which allows them to be 100% recyclable. The panels can be melted down and used again, something not possible with mixed plastic. Polygood says polystyrene is lightweight but durable, and mold-proof.

Its latest release, the Translucent Collection, utilizes sheer CD cases for the crystalline base and throws in varieties of colorful industrial tubes, spools, acoustic panels, and single-use cutlery for fun accents and designs.

Other collections feature panels recycled from disposable coffee cups, refrigerator and freezer insulation, toys and games, cables, disposable plates, and bowls. Polygood has a Cradle to Cradle Bronze certification, meaning it’s recognized as healthy, circular, and responsibly made.

The collection and company ethos infuse personality and eco-friendly choices into the home, two growing design trends amongst consumers. The Translucent Collection features 19 different designs, such as hot pinks made from industrial tubes and aqua hues reminiscent of pools.

It’s Polygood’s fourth collection, and all surfacing materials are fire-resistant and waterproof. While the Translucent Collection offers funky shades and patterns, Polygood offers an array of styles from minimalist and simple marble-lookalike patterns to monotone terrazzos.

The Good Company launched in 2018, and its Polygood product has since been used in more than 1,000 residential and commercial projects by some of the most recognized brands, including adidas, Lush, and McDonald’s.
