The Board of Directors of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) announced that it has terminated its affiliation with the NARI Greater Cleveland Chapter due to a breach of their chapter agreement. The breach is related to nonpayment of dues to National, noncompliance with a repayment plan, and other infractions against their policies.
The termination was announced in a Jan. 17 email from NARI President Jason Hensler who wrote, “As a national association, our chapters are vital partners as we strive to deliver to our members valuable resources to succeed and build trust with consumers…therefore, disaffiliating a chapter is a last resort. Unfortunately, the Greater Cleveland Chapter leadership has necessitated this course of action despite our ongoing efforts during the past four years to support them.”
NARI National will directly service all existing members, and said it is committed to continuing its relationship with and services to members in the Greater Cleveland community.
Going forward, any sponsorships, memberships, or activities offered by this group will not be affiliated with NARI or the NARI brand in any way, and any use of the NARI name or brand in connection with this former chapter will be considered a violation of the NARI trademark.
NARI asks that any questions about this matter be directed to co-CEOs Tracy Wright or Elsie Iturralde at [email protected].
