Made from recycled material, QuikSand is designed to be a nontoxic alternative to chemical strippers. It can be used to remove paint, varnish and other coatings from wood, metal, drywall, molded trim, home exteriors, doors and window frames. Its abrasive surface self-sharpens and resists clogs, the company says, and works four times faster and lasts six times longer than traditional sandpaper. Various grits are available.
