Product Introductions: Truer Drilling

Feb. 3, 2015

Bad Dog Tools is beefing up its Rover Bit, a patented 6 inch long bit that can drill vertically and cut horizontally. The bits have new edge geometry and 3/8-inch shanks – a full 1/16-inch thicker than the old bits. Apparently, the shanks on the old bits could deflect slightly when drilling through joists at an angle; the increased girth, along with a less pronounced taper, eliminates that.
