Innovative Products: Clopay VertiStack Avante Garage Doors

Clopay Corporation introduced a new mechanism style with its VertiStack Avante garage doors. The design features a modern aluminum and glass door with sections. When opened, these sections stack vertically above the door opening rather than on a track. They also can be recessed into the ceiling, completely hiding them from sight. 

This stacking system comes free of any exposed mechanisms, hinges, or cables, making it much more aesthetically pleasing, according to the company.

The glass paneling in each section allows natural light into the space; a variety of panel options gives homeowners the opportunity to select the amount of light they want to let in or the amount of privacy they want to maintain.

Winner of various architectural awards, including the prestigious Best of IBS “Best in Show” award at the 2025 NAHB International Builders’ Show, VertiStack Avante garage doors are clean, sleek, and make better use of the overhead space with its streamlined design philosophy.

The doors are customizable to fit openings from 5’ to 18’6” wide and 6’ to 10’ tall. Tempered, clear, frosted, insulated, and Low-E glass options are available, as are acrylic or polycarbonate panels.

Homeowners can choose aluminum frames in a variety of colors, including anodized finishes in black, bronze, and dark bronze, and painted in white, bronze, or chocolate.
