Surveyed designers and architects report clients look for white kitchens, and a white kitchen is often described as “timeless,” but why is that?
“White has stood the test of time because it’s clean and fresh,” award-winning designer Mick de Giulio, of de Giulio Kitchen Design, in Wilmette, Ill., tells Houselogic. “Those two words—clean and fresh—are classic words for describing a great kitchen. There isn’t a better way to approach design.”
Houselogic contributor and home improvement writer John Riha collects evidence from multiple fields that suggest a white-colored kitchen is the way to go.
“Color therapists tout white’s positive vibes,” he writes. “It represents happiness, innocence, and purity.”
