Best Practice: Making the transition from carpenter to business owner was a huge adjustment for Martin, and he credits his ongoing continuing education, especially with Remodelers Advantage, as a crucial part of his success. To that end, he allots at least two hours every week to further developing his company, whether it’s rethinking an org chart, tweaking his business plan, or creating job descriptions. Martin prefers to schedule these tasks either late at night or early in the morning so that he can work without distraction.
