Homeowners in these Cities May Want a Home Office Soon

Commutes in the most desirable cities keep getting worse, so more and more companies are offering telecommuting options, allowing employees to work from home. This is where remodelers come in.

The metro areas with the longest commutes – and the opportunity for contractors to attract clients with dedicated home-office projects – include San Francisco, New York, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles.

According to Fast Company, global recruitment and outplacement firm Workplace Trends and CareerArc found that 87 percent of human resources leaders say staff working periodically from home boosted employee satisfaction, and seven out of 10 hiring managers use flex-time programs as a recruiting and retention tool.
