Whirlpool’s new HybridCare Duet Dryer with Heat Pump Technology is big news for high performance homes because the appliance has no exhaust vent.
According to Matt Risinger, the “no vent” appliance allows for better indoor air quality because it doesn't create negative pressure that sucks unconditioned air and any accompanying allergens into the home. Risinger also cites other benefits, including energy efficiency, less maintenance, and lower dryer temps, which is easier on clothing.
