This article first appeared in the PR October 2014 issue of Pro Remodeler.

For the 2014 Professional Remodeler Design Awards, our judges recognized approximately 50 projects. This includes the Project of the Year by Dubbe Moulder Architects and Hobbs Custom Builders, and 11 other outstanding projects that were identified as Platinum Award winners.

Judging for the awards took place over the course of two days this past summer in downtown Chicago. Our panel of experts evaluated more than 150 remodeling projects from across the country, reviewing each for a bevy of criteria. Following hours of discussion and debate, the projects were narrowed down and recognized per their classification.

Each of the 2014 Design Award winners will be honored during a special event at the Remodeling Show in Baltimore, which takes place Oct. 23 and 24.

Professional Remodeler would like to extend a special thank you to our design award judges: Scott Mosby, CGR, CGB, CAPS, president, Mosby Building Arts, St. Louis // Craig Durosko, GMR, CGP, CR, founder and chairman, Sun Design Remodeling Specialists, Burke, Va. // Lucy Katz, CAPS, vice president of operations and customer service, Katz Builders Inc., Austin, Texas // Doug Selby, CAPS, CEO, Meadowlark, Ann Arbor, Mich.
