RTA's New Quick Ship Guarantees Cabinets Leave Warehouse Within 3 Days

In a time when it can take months for cabinet delivery, RTA Cabinet Store has announced a new Quick Ship Guarantee that promises to ship the cabinets within three days or the buyer gets 10% of their order, up to $250, back. 

"You could have your cabinets within a week of ordering, which is unheard of in the industry and represents an ever-improving leadership position among online cabinet companies that positions our customers first," says Renovation Brands CEO, Marc Sieger. Renovation Brands is the parent company of RTA Cabinet Store.

Quick warehouse departure amid industry-wide delays

The company claims that it can take up to 21 days for cabinets similar to RTA's Quick Ship line to leave the warehouse. Instead, Quick Ship cabinets will leave the warehouse within three days.  One surprising thing that likely won't impact the departure of cabinets? The material shortage. 

"We make a point of staying well-stocked. Because of some forward-thinking, we don’t expect that the material shortage will affect our customers," says Todd Nickell, RTA Cabinet Store and KDP brand leader. "We’ll continue to monitor the situation and take the necessary steps to ensure RTA Quick Ship cabinets remain available."

Orders placed prior to 12 pm ET Monday through Friday,  will be shipped out the same day the order is placed. Orders placed after 12 pm Monday through Friday, will process the next business day and will be shipped out within three days from that time.

It's important to note that the guarantee covers the departure of a remodeler's complete order from the warehouse and not the delivery. The arrival of the cabinets themselves can take longer than three days and is subject to shipping times and delays of the carrier and weather events. The guarantee does not include assembled cabinets, back-ordered items at the time of order, lost or damaged items incurred during shipping, significant weather events, holidays, carrier embargos or other unforeseen issues out of RTA Cabinet Store’s control.

"We work with reliable shipping companies, but we are unable to guarantee when delivery will happen. Customers will have access to a tracking system so they can see where their cabinets are at any given time," says Nickell. "It’s a possibility that cabinets can be ordered and received within the same week because we get them out the door so quickly, but it may take longer depending on the circumstances."

12 cabinet lines included in Quick Ship Guarantee

The guarantee covers a curated set of 12 cabinet lines which Nickell says cover 80% of marketplace demand with the possibility of adding more cabinet lines in the future. Currently, offerings include contemporary designs with shaker or raised panel door styles, and most options include soft-close and dovetailed drawers. RTA Cabinet Store does offer additional cabinet lines, but not all are covered by the guarantee. However, the Quick Ship lines will not affect the shipping of those outside the guarantee.

"We have a new team dedicated to Quick Ship cabinets. They handle just the cabinets that are in the Quick Ship program," Nickell says, noting that the Quick Ship line will not affect shipping of cabinets outside of the guarantee. Other cabinet lines and delivery windows will continue to ship in 4-15 days, besides out-of-stock items.

If the cabinets do not ship within three days, customers can fill out a link on the company's website, though Nickell says he doesn't foresee customers having to use it. If the shipment does leave the warehouse after three days, Nickell says that the RTA Cabinet team will proactively pay claims out if it knows the windows shipped late. 

"If we don’t get the cabinets out the door in three days, we’ll reach out to the customer with an apology and will already have credited their card the $250 or 10% of the purchase," Nickell says.
