Bill Shaw will serve as chairman of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers in 2013.

One of Shaw’s main goals for the year is to strengthen the relationship between local remodelers and their councils, as well as NAHB Remodelers. Mentoring, whether it is members new to NAHB board meetings, local council leaders, or new local remodelers, will be this year’s main theme.

NAHB Remodelers has many benefits to offer, such as membership and communications resources for local remodelers in their online toolkit, advocacy on important issues such as lead paint regulation and OSHA’s fall-protection program, and networking with other members around the country.

NAHB Remodelers committees met during the NAHB winter board meeting prior to the International Builders’ Show in January. The spring and fall board meetings will be held in Washington, D.C., June 4-8, and Colorado Springs, Col., Oct. 9-12. PR
