Housing: Single-Family Housing Starts Still Flat, Cement Industry Remains Optimistic

The PCA reports that based on its latest forecast, residential construction will bounce back in 2015 and 2016 despite slow single-family housing start gains this year.



Total home sales are expected to remain flat in 2014 and accelerate to 13 percent next year. The forecast calls for 677,000 housing starts this year, 890,000 starts in 2015 and 1.15 million starts in 2016.
