Some of these may affect business owners personally, but the last three may affect business taxes for 2014 as well as marketing plans for 2015: Expiration of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit for hiring certain workers, including vets; discontinued Section 179, which allowed small businesses to deduct the full cost of some equipment instead of using a depreciation schedule; and a drop in qualifying asset deduction from $500,000 to $25,000.
