If you thought fingerprint security—swiping a finger on a special sensor to unlock your computer or smartphone–was a final solution to the problem of keeping track of all your passwords, think again.
The Chaos Computer Club, a European hacker association, needed just 4 days to bypass the fingerprint security on the Samsung Galaxy S5--and that was using the same fake finger the club used to defeat iPhone 5S security a year earlier.
Our conclusion is that it might be best to avoid fingerprint security—at least until the phone-makers catch up to the hackers.
