The Vinyl Institute (VI) named Susan Wade, as vice president of marketing and communications. Wade directs the organization’s marketing, public relations and communications programs on a national basis, a key position supporting the interests of the overall vinyl industry.
Prior to joining the VI, Wade developed and implemented a number of award-winning marketing programs for corporate, non-profit, and government organizations that focused on business-to-business and business-to-consumer audiences. Wade held senior communications positions in the telecommunications, internet services and enterprise networking industries. With more than 20 years of experience in marketing communication she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the VI and its members.
“I look forward to building on the Vinyl Institute’s success in educating people about the vital role vinyl plays in our everyday lives – from delivering clean water to our kitchen taps to making our homes energy efficient. Vinyl Institute’s members and industry stakeholders have many great success stories to tell about the benefits of vinyl, and I look forward to helping them expand the voice for vinyl throughout the vinyl value chain,” said Ms. Wade.
VI President & CEO, Dick Doyle noted, “Susan’s wealth of experience and marketing knowledge has already made her a key addition to the VI team. As we work to expand opportunities for the vinyl value chain she will be a vital asset to achieving the objectives outlined under the VI 2012-2015 Strategic Plan. We are fortunate enough to have found someone of Susan’s caliber to fill this role and I’m confident she will be a tremendous asset to VI and our industry.” PR
